Founded in New York in 2012, APPARATUS is an interdisciplinary design studio that explores the dynamic relationship between lighting, furniture, and sculptural objects. Rooted in the modernist concept of Gesamtkunstwerk—or total work of art—each collection unfolds as an atmospheric world where individual pieces act as narrative artifacts. In its dedicated New York factory, the studio masterfully balances industrial precision with handcraft, combining hand-patinated brass with sensual materials like marble, lacquer, suede, porcelain, and horsehair. Exhibited in galleries across New York, Los Angeles, and London, APPARATUS infuses contemporary spaces with soul, tactile allure, and timeless emotional resonance.
